Swap 2 Save Coupon Club is off to a good start

If you missed the first coupon swap at Wallace Memorial Baptist Church on Merchant's Drive, you can still enjoy future meetings--on the first Thursdays of each month, 6-8 p.m, Room S247-249. The event is called Swap 2 Save Coupon Club and now has a Facebook page where you can keep up with happenings.

The swap is organized and easy to navigate. I can sift through coupons quickly, so I was done in less than 30 minutes. Tables are set up and coupons are in containers organized by the following categories:

Baby Care
Baking
Beverages
Boxed Items
Candy/Cookies
Canned Goods
Cereals
Condiments/Sauces
Dairy
Frozen
Health/Beauty
Household
Meat/Poultry
Paper Goods
Pet Care
Pharmacy
Snacks
Attractions/Events
Restaurants
Retailers
Services

At the end of each meeting, all unclaimed coupons will be packaged and sent to various US military bases around the world, as military families can redeem coupons at US commissaries up to 6 months past their expiration date.

So, start saving your coupons for the next meeting, Thursday, May 5.
