New Ethiopian Restaruant in Knoxville!

There's a new restaurant in town, and I hear they have a vegetarian platter. I can't wait to try it! It's called Gosh Ethiopian Restaurant--located 3609 Sutherland Ave next to The Holy Land Market.

The below is from their Facebook page:
Tue- Thurs: 11:00 am - 9:00 pm
Fri - Sat:11:00 am - 10:00 pm
Sun: 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Description: Highly spiced and incredibly flavorful, if you haven't tried Ethiopian food before, you are in for an amazing experience! Fun to eat, entrees are served on a large tray with injera, a traditional flat bread used for scooping up generous helpings of slow-cooked meat and vegetable delicacies. Beef, chicken, lamb, lentils, and vegetable stews are all delicious and made fresh daily!
I am excited! Thank you to the Knoxville Vegan Meetup Group for this info.

Vegetarian Potluck and Cooking demonstration

The Vegetarian Society of East Tennessee holds a cooking demonstration followed by a potluck supper at 6:00 PM at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, 2931 Kingston Pike, on the first Sunday of every month.

From their site:
Please bring a vegan or vegetarian dish to share. Visitors and guests are always welcome. There is a small fee to help offset the room rental: $2 for members and $3 for non-members.

They also note that it's helpful for you to write down the ingredients in the dish you bring. This helps those with food sensitivities and vegans with their eating selection.

Nearly Moved In

We're nearly moved in, but there's still a few kinks to work out--such as setting up Internet access! For now, it's box jungle.
