The Vegetarian Society of Tennessee hosts an annual Thanksgiving dinner of vegetarian and vegan dishes. This year the event will be held on Sunday, November 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the Knoxville First Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 3611 Kingston Pike.

Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for children 5-10 years, and children under 5 are free.

From their site:
POTLUCK Dinner: Please bring a family-sized vegetarian or vegan dish, with a serving spoon, to feed 6-8 people. [From my attendance in the past, it's best to have a print out of ingredients for your dish, or if you're a sweetie, bring multiple copies of your recipe to share]

Please invite your family and friends and enjoy conversation and compassionate dining.

Live music and door prizes from local businesses.

Come prepared to buy "Treasures from the Vegetarian Attic."

For more info call 865-681-7691 or e-mail laurabroderick@mindspring.com.

I've regretfully missed out on this event for several years now. When I did attend, I found many new dishes and recipes to try!
