Knoxville Mamabelle is dividing!

I am moving the "biracial" from Knoxville MamaBelle to Biracial MamaBelle: this change has been overdue. It was time to create a separate outlet for topics related to being biracial, mixed, blended... on interracial marriage, relationships, families, and so on. Over the next few weeks I'll be working to get the new blog at up & running.

A favorite interracial couple:

Southern Savers to give coupon workshop in Knoxville

The following info is reworded from Southern Savers is a popular coupon website whose author, Jenny, specializes in deals for most all the grocery stores around as well as other money saving ideas. She is holding a coupon class in Knoxville on June 5, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per person, which you pay at the door the morning of the event.

The event will be held at Buffat Heights Baptist church. You can register at the church website and get more information there as well. The contact number is 865-524-1204.

I already have plans on this date, so I will not be at this workshop, but I highly recommend attending if you want to know more about couponing.

Toilet paper at $0.10/roll: Today Only

Money Saving Mom has a posting about how to get Marcal recycled toilet paper at 10 cents/roll HERE. This is the best price I've ever seen (besides a free single roll on occasion).

I completed my order just now. It was slightly difficult because I've never ordered through the sites before. I ordered five packages to get free shipping to home. If you don't want that many, you can have the TP shipped to the nearest store for pick up. Tip: I kept the instructions open while I ordered.

Many thanks to for a heads up on this deal!

Knoxville MamaBelle has a new look!

My new header is my basic look--monarch butterflies with a black background. I haven't decided if I want to have a white or black background for the rest of the page, though, so your thoughts are appreciated!

Aquarium Fish & Supply Store

Aquarium off Papermill Drive is the place to shop if you are an aquarium owner. Saturday, May 22, is their annual customer appreciation day. It'll be packed, but deals will be abundant! Hours for the sale are 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

If you haven't been there before, I'd suggest going on a regular day. While you're there, sign up for their discount program & to receive their e-letter.
And, even if you aren't planning on buying anything just yet, their fish area complete with starfish and even sea horses, is a great way to entertain the little ones on a rainy day!

printable & loadable coupons

I took a break from Internet coupons a while back, but now I'm in deep again and happy to be so.

While I was gone, Target greatly improved their site. At the bottom of, you'll find a small link to coupons. They usually have $100 worth or more to choose from. Some of the coupons will be manufacturer's coupons, but most will be Target Web, meaning you can stack them: use one Target and one manufacturer on the same one item.

Once on the coupon page, you'll see a link to their coupon policy. One notable policy is that you cannot use more than one Target coupon of the same kind on the same visit. Like any store, they will respond best if couponers do not try to abuse the system.

So far, on my last five or more visits, I've had zero problems with rude cashiers or with Target coupons not scanning.

Kroger has begun offering many e-coupons. They've been sending extra emails that do not lend a clue that they contain a link to new e-coupons. So, if you've been getting emails from them, don't ignore them! Just two weeks ago I got nearly free Tropicana orange juice by using a Kroger e-coupon and a paper coupon.

If you haven't been using e-coupons at Kroger, sign up with Kroger, and To get started, you'll need your Kroger card number on each of the sites. Once you load your coupons, you can print a list of what you have loaded. At the register, the e-coupons will come off automatically when your Kroger card is scanned.

On clearance at Big Lots on Broadway

About 20-25 boxes remain as of this afternoon, so go grab them at $0.75/box if you love 'em. They are the muliflavor packs: strawberry, blueberry & vanilla. The bread is also fully stocked. Grab some whole wheat bread, sandwhich buns and choose between two brands of raisin bread while you're there.

Discounted prices on plants at Lowes

I visited Lowe's on Clinton Highway yesterday and found that apparently they haven't been watering their plants. Many looked wilted and just plain tired. As such, they have these various plants (annuals, perenials & more) on clearance throughout the garden center. I was very surprised!
